Q: What’s the name about?

Prussian Street Arcade is more than a name. It’s a tribute to the past and a celebration of small business, creative hustle, and community in the present.

With a memorable name like ours, we get this question a lot!

Our original location sits on Main Street in Manheim, Pennsylvania , but that wasn’t always its name. Up until 1923, it was known as Prussian Street, a nod to the town’s deep-rooted German heritage.

When we opened our store, we chose to honor that legacy — and to redefine the shopping experience in the process.

Exterior view of a building with a sign reading '7 Russian St.', potted plants along the sidewalk, and a sidewalk sign indicating the business is open, with a blue sky and some clouds above.
Nighttime exterior view of a retail store called Pusorian St. Showcase, with signs indicating a boutique shopping experience. The store has large glass windows displaying various colorful items inside, and flags with promotional text near the entrance. The building's facade is illuminated with exterior lighting.

And what about “Arcade”?

The word arcade doesn’t just mean flashing lights and pinball machines. Historically, an arcade is:

“an arched, covered passageway lined with shops — or a building that includes many shops under one roof.”

That’s exactly what we are:
A curated indoor marketplace, home to hundreds of independent merchants, artists, and vintage pickers — all under one shared roof.

A clothing boutique displays various colorful garments on a rack, with decorative woven baskets and plants on shelves and walls, creating a cozy, rustic ambiance.
